Stay at a three-star family campsite perched above the valley, surrounded by lavender fields and the song of cicadas. Enjoy a peaceful, wooded setting known for offering the purest air in France, and experience the authentic charm of camping in the Drôme Provençale — between mountains, picturesque villages, and unspoiled nature.
Discover our 18 spacious pitches (80 to 100 m²) in the heart of the Drôme Provençale, nine of which offer a beautiful view over the Vesc valley. Each pitch includes access to water, with or without electricity — don’t forget to bring your adaptors and extension cords (available for hire upon request). Fridges are also available to rent for extra comfort. Enjoy a relaxing nature stay in the Drôme Provençale with our on-site facilities: a free swimming pool, tennis court, children’s playground, and a restaurant open at lunchtime. Perfect for families or friends seeking peace and authenticity, our small, family-run campsite offers simplicity and charm — far from the crowds of large tourist resorts.
If you’re looking for simple, clean, and authentic accommodation in the Drôme Provençale, our rentals are just what you need. Enjoy the beauty of nature with a little extra comfort — ideal for those who love outdoor holidays but prefer not to camp in a tent. At our small family campsite in the Drôme, you can choose from two types of accommodation, both comfortable, practical, and designed for a peaceful stay close to nature.
All rentals are non-smoking, pet-free, and do not include towels or linens.
Each cabin accommodates 1 to 4 people.
Sheets can be rented, and all beds include pillows and blankets for cool nights.
With the exception of campers and caravans, personal vehicles are not allowed inside Camping Le Matin Calme, except for loading and unloading.
Camping Le Matin Calme is your haven of rest and relaxation in the Drôme Provençale. No discos here — just the soothing sounds of nature! Enjoy our swimming pool, tennis court, a ping-pong table and playground. A pétanque area awaits just across the street, and scenic hiking trails start nearby, attracting nature lovers and hikers from all over Europe.
-We don’t provide a barbecue, but you’re welcome to bring your own — gas or electric only, due to annual fire risks. Open flames are not permitted anywhere on the campground.
Nearby: horseback riding, rivers, summer markets, petting farms, and charming villages. Adventurous? Try paragliding from the mountain just behind us!
Cool off in our pool for a swim, or visit the river just 10 km away.
-Wi-Fi is available in the reception area and restaurant, but not throughout the campground.
-Enjoy the serenity of Vesc, a small village where commerce is minimal. For your convenience, please note that the nearest shopping center is in Dieulefit, 12 kilometers away.
Le Temps des Copains”, our small family restaurant nestled in the Vesc valley, offers simple, generous cuisine made with local ingredients from the region. With its friendly, relaxed atmosphere, the restaurant is open for lunch service only, from Wednesday to Sunday, 12:00 to 2:30 p.m.
During July and August we offer baguettes, croissants and pain au chocolate from 9:00am, upon reservation the night before.

We are Jared Hall and Feriel Malti-Hall, owners of Camping Le Matin Calme since 2021. With roots in the United States and France, we spent six years traveling around the world and the U.S. in our RV, eventually landing in the magical Drôme Provençale. Key Points to Remember:
We spent two very pleasant weeks in this pretty, very quiet campsite. The owners are extraordinarily kind. Good meals on site with local wines and beers. What happiness!
There is everything you need in this pretty little campsite. The simplicity, the time passing slowly, the setting and the adorable team make us want to come back every year.
